JACoW

Since 1996, the proceedings of seven accelerator conference series (APAC, EPAC, PAC, CYCLOTRONS, DIPAC, ICALEPCS, and LINAC) are being published at the Joint Accelerator Conferences Web site (JACoW). Thanks to the PAC project's scanning of previous proceedings, the JACoW site now also contains proceedings from '67, '87, '89, '91, '93, and '95. Future hopes are to add the proceedings of the conferences between 1988 and 1994.

In general, each conference retains the copyright to its proceedings but allows for copies of single articles to be taken from this site, provided that the source is acknowledged. Conference papers are processed using Adobe Acrobat software. Acrobat Reader 3 or later is required to view papers on-line. It is possible to search for papers using a form based on the Inktomi Search Engine, which sets various parameters to limit the search to the appropriate areas. Full Boolean searches are possible, and once the search has been submitted it can be refined using the Inktomi form.

The JACoW site is maintained by the editorial boards of the various conferences participating in the JACoW collaboration. The European server is located at CERN, and for the convenience of users is mirrored to a server at KEK in Japan. In January 2003, JACoW purchased a domain name, http://www. JACoW.org/ and remodeled the site so that all conference proceedings and JACoW information is now available from this site.
