Measurement:

The harp system provides a measurement of beam position and profile from a single beam pulse.

Key specifications:

Peak beam current range:                      10 to 60 mA.

Beam pulse length (linac, injection):        10 to 1000 us (maximum possible from linac).

Beam pulse length (extr., target):            1 us. H+ beams.

Intensity range (ppp)                        3E11 to 2E14.

Position range:                         ± beam pipe radius (linac, inj., extr.), ±140 x 64 mm (tgt.).

Position accuracy:                      ±1 mm when data is fitted with a Gaussian profile.

Position resolution:                     ±0.5 mm when data is fitted with a Gaussian profile.

Width accuracy:                         10% when data is fitted with a Gaussian profile.

Width resolution:                         5% when data is fitted with a Gaussian profile.

Data structure:                        Single shot.

Number of signal planes:               3 (x, y, and x-y).

Inputs:

Signal cables from harp pickup.
