Date August 10, 2000 Attendees S. Aleksandrov, Sarah Cousineau, S. Danilov, M. Doleans, J. Galambos, D. Jeon, S. Kim, J. Wei J. Wei presented a draft outline of the end-to-end simulation output for the ASAC presentation. This included columns of each accelerator component to be modeled, and rows of the quantities that will be calculated, and effects to be included. There was discussion of these effects, and the draft will be distributed to the other labs. The upcoming meetings were also discussed. J. Galambos, YY. Lee and D. Raparia will attend the ICANS meeting. J. Galambos, S. Kim, M. Doleans, D. Raparia, and J. Wei will attend the Linac 2K meeting. D. Jeaon will attend the ICALPS meeting. Regarding the upcoming ASAC meeting S. Kim has been asked to present his work as part of the JLab presentation. Sang ho presented progress on the HOM analysis, showing work on the mechanical perturbation along the cavity corresponding to inclusion of 200 modes. There were displacements of up to 1 mm. There were discussions as to whether the grid was adequate to subbort the high number of modes being used and how likely 1 mm perturbations are liekly to be. Dong O Jeon is studying the halo producing resonance hge earlier identified, and is trying to understand why ORBIT does not see it. Slava Danilov is preparing formulas for use in transverse impedance models in ORBIT. Jeff is working with Slava, Sarah, and setting up MAD lattices for SNS. J. Galambos reported on the finalization of the linac length and the DTL corrector work. Sarah Cousineau reported on the BIG model. She has considered several kick schemes using discrete positive of negative full amplitude kicks. For the scheme with the largest induced BIG instability, the resonance is very narrow (strong frequency dependence). Marc Doleans is preparing pre and post processesors fopr the MAFIA HOM analysis.
